Job Title: Nanny/Family Assistant

Location: Upper East Side, New York, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 50-55 hours per week (flexibility required for occasional overnight stays when parents are traveling). Open to changing hours to more of 11-7 when kids are in school or parents aren't traveling but need coverage from 7:30-6:30 and will hire a second person in the afternoons.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience. W2 Position. Paid on the books

Overview: A warm, organized, and responsible Nanny/Family Assistant is needed to care for two school-aged children (2nd grade and Kindergarten) in a busy, professional household. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and reliable individual who can balance childcare duties with household management tasks. Someone who enjoys cooking is very important as healthy eating is a priority for the family. A strong driver is essential, as transporting the children to extracurricular activities outside the city is a key responsibility. A car will be provided for work-related driving.

Responsibilities:

       Provide attentive and nurturing care to two children, ensuring their safety and well-being

       Assist with homework, school projects, and after-school routines

       Driving to various activities with family provided car in and out of Manhattan

       Flexible in the summers to come to family's summer home in upstate NY

       Plan and coordinate children's schedules, including school events, appointments, and activities

       Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's needs, schedules, and any concerns

       Assist with light household duties related to the children, including meal prep, tidying up, and organizing their belongings

       Run occasional family errands as needed

       Prepare healthy dinners for family

       Pack and prepare for travel if children are accompanying parents on trips

      Stay overnight on occasion when parents are traveling (advance notice provided)

      Flexible to go to home ( upstate NY) for a few weeks in August. Within an hour and a half commute from NYC.

Requirements:

       Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a nanny or family assistant

       Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving in and outside NYC

       Strong organizational and multitasking skills

       CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)

       Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents

       Flexible and adaptable with a proactive attitude

       Ability to pass a background check and provide excellent references
